The Sekret life of Christmas

The inner-workings and hidden mechanisms of christmas go far beyond the array of neatly-wrapped presents under sparkling green christmas trees, sheltered by icicle dropped lights,, down the street from wanna-be kris-kringles next to hoot and hollering carollers.

After doing some last minute shopping with my mother yesterday in Marshalls, she made a remark that she was proud of herself for buying so many gifts. Instantly, my heart became outraged by the blasphemous remark when thinking about the turmoil this economy is facing with my family seemingly following the ebbs and flows of it, while my mind incredulously thought out the obvious superficiality of this holiday.

Then I thought about it some more because it was deeply bothering me and something that now seems so blatant finally hit me. ANY happiness is worth ALL money and MANY sacrifices.

In her defense, its not just about having a number of presents under the tree for people shes probably going to see twice in the upcoming year, but its more about seeing the satisfaction on their faces, our faces. Satisfaction is directly correlated to happiness, no matter what the cost was, no matter the circumstances.

Hence, the joy and merry that people wish you every christmas since birth is derived from this very concept. As commercialized as Christmas is getting and as big of a capitalizing quarter it is expected to be for otherwise shortcoming companies, christmas will never let human beings lose sight of this short term happiness.

Joy to the world. As there is speculation that Jesus was  not in fact born on christmas eve, the mere happiness that Christ brought to the Virgin Mary and the rest of the world for that matter, despite all costs and later struggles, only multiplies on this.

Merry, Joyfuly, Healthy and Safe X-Mas
God Bless
